Hourly Rate:               Grade 210 – Specific salary based on experience. This position is Grant Funded, there is no guarantee of future funding or position beyond the current fiscal year

 

JOB SUMMARY

The purpose of this position is to promote a safe school environment that supports optimal learning. The Chief Community Builder will work directly with the principal, administrators, building staff, and students using an appreciative approach to implement the School Renewal Cycle.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Assist building-principal, administrators, and teachers with implementing all aspects of the PN Grant Project under the USDE
  • Assist building principal, administrators, and teachers with implementing the PN Grant Design Initiatives utilizing the School Renewal Cycle.
  • Assist building principal, administrators, and PN Facilitator with documenting the school’s current state and helping to create the school’s desired state using quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Promote stakeholder understanding of the PN Grant Design Initiatives.
  • Understand and support the implementation of the SOAR process.
  • Support students throughout the school with strengths-based decision making academic, emotional, and behavioral.
  • Actively develop positive and appropriate relationships with students and parents around the PN Grant Pipeline Initiatives.
  • Facilitate Restorative Practice conferences for students.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

  • Experience working with urban families.
  • High school diploma.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in education preferred.
  • College credits preferred.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust/focus.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. 

 

MENTAL FUNCTIONS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to compare, analyze, communicate both orally and in writing, copy, coordinate, instruct, compute, synthesize, evaluate, use interpersonal skills, compile, and negotiate.
